My first Bass

My first Bass ever caught at Roodt Oord Alberton with a Strikepro cranky 40 lure. It took it on my third cast next to a reed bed.

With great difficulty I managed to loosen the treble hooks and released it. I was worried that it would not make it.

I took off the treble hooks and put a nr 1 hook on the lure and filed away the barb. The rest of the day I tried rubber frogs red watermelon as well but got nothing.

Nice..Bass fishing is addictive! Don't worry that bass probably lasted less than a minute after you put him back till a bigger bass scoffed him..bass..Gotta love them unless you fit in their mouth.

Bass is our fresh water shad.

They tend to be so close to the edge its scary.
