Mud mullet? Mogul? Small-mouth yellow? Other??

So I foul hooked this fish last year at a farm dam in the free state. It's a closed system as the dam is a natural spring that has been artificially dammed up..

Some people say mud mullet, some say mogul, some say juvenile small mouth yellow..

Have googled pictures for the above mentioned fish yet I can't seem to find anything that really looks the same!

It is a Mud Mullet / Moggel

It has most likely been caught in a very murky dam an hence the colouration being light and not the typical Grey

Thanks Enigma! Do you perhaps know how one goes about targeting one of these boys?

Wouldn't mind catching one again- but not by accident!

Plankton eaters feeding mainly on the surface. Most successful method of targeting them is with a dry fly.

Otherwise long hookline with a floatie rolled in Fluoro and although they are actually very common they are very seldom caught on rod and reel
