Most commonly used Jighead for Surf Dropshotting

Hi All droppers,

I would like to know what are the most common wieght/size jiheads you use when dropshotting from the surf zone.

There are times when the wind can be hectic and one can struggle to throw a 1/8 ounce or 1/4 ounce jighead from the surf.

Do you increase the weight to let say 1/2 ounce?

I have caught most of my fish on a 1/8 ounce 1/0 or 2/0. In my experience, going above 1/4 ounce from the shore in SA waters in impractical as you have to use a bigger plastic for it to look realistic. Most of the species caught in the surf zone are not big and generally won't look twice at a 5" plastic. All I can suggest is to stick with the 1/4 and 1/8 heads and wade more or select semi-sheltered spots. Only my experience, please do not take as gospel. Other views?
