Mauritius - worth taking a fly rod?

Hi All,
going to Mauritius end of June with family and friends and thinking if worth it to take my saltwater fly rod with me.
any ideas? fishing seems to be allowed but not expecting it to be great.
will be staying at victoria beachcomber in the west side a few km's north of port louis.

any tips will be appreciated.

quick update.. fishing was not good.. managed a few hours only on the water. Took my fly rod caught a few small species (pike,rockod etc) in the reefs on gunners point.
also landed 1 good size bluefin trevally (5kg) trolling a rapala behind a catemaran (was out on a day trip to the islands with the family)
other than that most people i spoke to that fished on charters also battled - apparently June/July not good fishing of the year. was a good holiday though.
