Line thickness

I do not use leader lines. My mainline is strong enough to not snap during casting. I do not use as thin as possible mainlines as I do not need to cast further than 70 meters ever.
My question: will my catch rate improve at all if I go from .35mm mainline to .30mm mainline? Or will the fish not even mind as they can still see both?

Last question. Let's talk about a wide slow moving river. At what depth can carp still see your rigs/lines?
It must get dark at some stage.

I really do not want the big boys swim past my boilies just because they are spooked as they could see it. I want to try harder to catch bigger than 15kg carp.

Barbelman the thickness of your main line does not matter.
The only reason a person uses thin line is either line capacity or distance casting. I will rather get a neutral color that easily disappears under water.

If you are really worried that the fish is seeing your line put on a leader of 5-6m of fluorocarbon line. A good fluorocarbon will be completely invisible.

Light will penetrate pretty deep but color fades quick.
I saw a vid on youtube where they took a couple of boilies and I think after 3m only pink was still visible as pink the other colors just faded and looked all the same(green white yellow). So maybe black line or dark color will stand out but like double X green or even the white will fade fast.

Thanks Timjan.
I want them to see my boilies though, just not my line/rigs etc.
I once caught a blind carp, it had no eyes! But it still needs to eat, so it finds food by smell only it seems.
