A couple of club guys decided on a "mountain challenge" yesterday at GB mountain... well the sea was flat and we were not postponing as this would mean that it "would never happen"...

so we fished Bouy 4 with little success... a small smoothhound secured the first place and title... hahaha...

anyhow, we were still amped up for more, so we hit the beaches on the false bay side... close the strandfontein pool in search of a "pull"

put out a bonnie slide and a bonnie floated with chokka wrap for a smaller class in ed/ edible

some of the guys who had livies kept on being robbed of their bait... but we persisted.

while chatting and looking up, the rod bounces and this instantly calls for a 40m dash and upon lifting the rod it feels like its gone?

a light bounce and the fish takes off, feels like a flattie runs to the left , peels line off the saltiga LDH40 paired with the technium, then with some negotiating of the other lines, my gillie (liam) moves in to leader the flattie... we were surprised to see a nice cobbie...

well its going to the coals, could not release this one as there exists a need to start a fire and feed the visitors

Very nice fish Meneer! I have just about given up on Fishing as the conditions don't seem right. Flat sea, no roll, water cold! But now you amaze me with your fine Kwagga!

Well done!:::S
