Hi Guys

I was reading the post about www.mullerskitefishing.com.
Just wondering,I know most of the fish in False bay are close inshore.

Obviously with winter we get alota N and NW winds and it's flat water.
You guys know of any species that feed in the deep during winter?
And edibles during summer?

Thanx

PS.I am planning to try for no eds when they return to false bay later in the year...just 1 or 2 for ultimate fight...it will empty my old speedmaster no doubt LOL

PatrickC attempted it and i am not sure how serious he went in to it. All I know is he did hook a monster bronzy in summer time like that...

Thanks Stapies. I will be attempting to target eds. Water has been very sandy at the regular spots, so planning to drop bait behind the "sand"

Never tried for eds with the kite but I know of guys with bait boats that have been very successful with cobbies just outa casting range.

When the conditions are right I'll go try it again.

I woouldnt go for ineds with anything lighter than a torium 50! False bay has big monsters!

I see a lot of NW coming up soon and I know a spot which has nice cobbies on macs. Let me know if you are keen and we can go try for a 15+kg beast... The mountain will also cook again soon!!! Had a proper hiding the other day.

Thank Patrick. Price on those dinglehoppers is mal, 12k new. Kites is the cheapest
option and very keen to give it a go lol. I dont have the gear for them monsters,
so will be putting out small baits only and hope I dont get any surprises lol :shark

The fish are there, just cant reach them. I think I cast +-100 to 120m
Guy I fish with casts almost if not twice that distance, its a real awesome  sight
watching this dude cast, and when nobody catches....his the only person that
will catch something lol What kite and size are you using. Any ideas on weight/load
limit on them? Planning to get one of these very soon

yeah prices are crazy! Thats also why I bought a kite.

You're right the fish are there they just a bit deeper.
Weight and load depends on the size of the kite and the wind.

If you're taking out edible baits you are going to need a 2lt coke bottle filled with water or something to keep the kite down.

I've taken out baits and sinkers that weigh over a kilo and the kite has just gone straight up.

@stapies, thats the trouble deciding whether to go to the mountain or try fly the kite!

Either way Patrick, if you head to the mountain give me a shout as I live 5 min from there.... If macs I will head to that area and join you as well... I have a few other spots which will def deliver as the water is very deep... Wouldnt mind dropping an occy leg to lay long....

Thanks Patrick. Was thinking of trying it with a outrigger clip.
Fly the kite out with a standard slide trace, and pull the line
or swivel from the clip at the desired distance.
