Howdy all,

Been traditionally sliding with a Beachmaster OH with Torium 30 running 50lb braid/150m 50lb mono topshot and 150lb wind on leader.

Recently purchased a Beachmaster Spin and planning on pairing it with Gosa 20000 or 25000. Looking at sliding with this setup as well. Just looking for recommendations how heavy a wind on I can fit on this setup.

I've found that wind ons or heavy nylon leaders (from 0.9mm up) do not work well with grinders - you just can't get distance when casting this. I've opted for a 220lb whiplash braid leader. But thats just my personal experience and opinion. Lets see what others have to say

Most fish straight braid. For example 600m berkley whiplash 50lb backing, 300m 50lb braid topshop (I use Sufix 832 in this case). Then I have a 10m 220lb Whiplash braid leader.

What I like to do so that I don't lose on my braid leader every time I cut my traces off: braid leader to power swivel. Then I use a split ring on the other side of the swivel to attach my traces
