RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF SAS SALDANHA NATURE CONSEVATION AREA
1. The use of the Military Training Area for fishing competitions is subjected to the approval by the Officer Commanding SAS SALDANHA.
2. Any members entering the area do so at own risk.
3. Non compliance for the following rules and instructions will compromise any further competition in the area.
4. The area that you will use is a sensitive Nature conservation Area. Scarce and protected plants species grow in the area.
5. The area is managed accordance with SANDF Environmental Policy (SANDF Nature Reserves and Training areas)and also the Government regulations. The following rules will apply:
a. No ALCOHOL will be allowed in the nature reserve.
b .No PLANTS or any ANIMALS may be removed or harmed in the area.
c. No SHOOTING, Flares or fire crackers will be used in the area.
d. All vehicles entering the area must use existing dirt roads. Vehicles will only be allowed to park in demarcated parking areas. No person will be allowed to drive off the dirt roads or make their own roads.
e. Certain areas have barriers to close roads to protect scares and protected plants and animals. No person is allowed to remove these barriers to use these roads.
f. People entering the area must ensure to remove all refuge on completion of the competition.
g. NO FIRES will be allowed in the area.
h. NO BAIT collection or removal of any shellfish (including abalone and crayfish is allowed in Nature Conservation Area
NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE ABOVE WILL JEOPARDIZE FURTHER EVENTS OF THIS NATURE
