Hi guys,

Went to Tago at the Vaaldam the weekend, dispite loosing our 16 sleeper tent( broken) and my car battery being flat, the rain, wind and Tsunamies!!! We had a great fishing weekend.. Our record fish for the weekend was a 7.8kg mirror carp, net weight of 54kg's!!! Tago will definatly see me again!!!

tago is without a doubt my best place on the vaal dam barbel in my avatar was caught there

We are leaving for Tago at around 12:00pm today. Our mate has already been there since yesterday to make the feed etc etc etc. Cant wait.

hi gents,

went to tago on saturday, wat a leka time... fished from about 10:00 on saturday and packed up and left by 8 on sunday morning... fished at about 100m. managed to land 2 x +-2kg carp, 1 muddie around 1kg and a yellow around 1kg, lost 3 fish 1 as i was about to skep and two came off during the fight... no pics unfortunately. floaties didnt work at all.. all fish caught on a single aniseed mielie with a brown bread backing and vaaldam supercast bom with a single drop of devils fork on the bom and the bait dipped into springbok fluoro sweets... had an awesome time... after this weekend i recommend daichi #6 and 8 hokks to anyone... hope this helps oh and Naruto i fished on the competition side...
