Hi Guys, - My sacred fishing duck was stolen this morning - It is a 4,2m Bucanner with Blue and yellow pontoons and white transom and console. It has a 1996 mercury 40 manual start motor.The duck has S5D as the registration number and the trailer is NUR27218 was in very good nic and looks very new. It has a blue motor and boat cover. Perps were caught on camera 1 black dude and two indian dudes in a white colt bakkie with mags and conopy

NUR? Where is that amd where were they caught on camera might give an idea of where they might have been headed too...

Mabe some of the guys have or will spot it. More info so we can help you locate your duck.

I'm in the Sunningdale area.

The chaps had ovviously staked the spot out - I live in a cul-de-sac  - they truned into the road - did their U turn and headed on out with the boat the same way - down Meadow into Fernlea and I assume onto Umhlanga Rock drive

I Worked at home until about 10 the day before - If only it had happened then.... we have a well equiped neighbourhood watch here with the necessary hardware. The slim shap with the blue shirt had something stuck down the back of his pants - Could have been fun

Hope they get these oke's... guys are brazen now adays...
Guess the new hilux didn't look odd with the boat attached.

Wonder where they got that.

@ Andybrown - Have you ever considered thinking of someone living in the area having a finger in the pie? Perhaps not for usage of your boat in the nearby by area, however knowing that your boat is always parked there ect... it looks rather well planned - not the spur of the moment type thingy.

I would love to steal that Hi Lux! LOL

Yep we have builders across the road at the  moment - Have a Constable Ngcobo on the case - she'll phone me if they ever find the trailer and thats about as far as the investigation will ever go I suspect. Hasnt even asked for the footage

Is there any chance you can email or send me the original footage.
I want to try and sharpen the image.

Couple of things I can pick up straight away.

It is the 3.0 Diesel model (See intercooler vent in bonnet).
It is most probably the Auto (See chrome mirrors) - just check this with toyota dealer.
The canopy is a CarryBoy for sure

For starters, how about doing 2 things:

1 - Check with the Toyota dealers is your area for new purchases of a white hilux and canopy towbar combination with dark tint windows

2- Check with Const. Ngcobo about any thefts with those same combination

@ Jeanswart - Sure I can email you the footage.

There was an incident on Sunday night where 4 Asian males in a similar described bakkie stole 2 vehicles. Last I heard were they were tracking them as they both had tracking units in them - no feedback other than that. Also on Friday late afternoon a house has hit around the courner - favorite tactic at the moment is a hit and run type operation where they bash the door in and collect all the elecronic goods in less than a min and flee. Something is fishy in the area as ADT have a foot-patrol in these roads and there is footage of the ADT guys following the car they used out of the area. The foot patrol aparantly reported the car used and the response vehicle escourted the perps out doesnt make sence. The footage is from someone up the road and around the corner - unfortunatle not in the direction my boat went though.

What email can I use - the relevant clip is around 5 megs
