Whats the size of the black gold? 20? 30? 60?
If I wanted to beat a reel up to the bone, I would use a black gold, but if I wanted infinite anti-reverse and all those features, Id use the oceano. Off a jet ski/boat/kayak I would use a black gold because they are simple and indestructable
Rod? Lots of rods to choose from. If a rod feels comfortable for you, then use it. There are as many choices of rods as there are fisherman. Everyone likes a different rod from everyone else. Get a rod thats durable, has quality guides, and can throw the weight of your spoon/lure
