Here's a new one I just did. It's 145mm long but is the baby of the group. Going up to 250mm on the biggest. Profiled body with a pronounced belly. I'll be adding a Lexan cup after it comes out of the mold. Using a new technique to give the cup it's concave shape using Olive oil. Drill the eye sockets and one coat of spray filler and she's ready for the mold.

When this range is ready I'll have to name them and the name that came to mind is "Torpedo Jack". I'd really like to use it if It's OK with the member. Mike?

It still needs the bigger Lexan cup but she turned out shweeet for a hand carve. Thanks Hermann. The first one for testing has your name on it. Now we need to sort the secret colours hey. Mommy's away so I used one of her cream jars to mold the cup.::S

Awesome looking Popper Tauruck! Lookin' gooood!

Thinking aloud now... isn't the cup a little deep? My experience with such deep cupped poppers is that they create too much resistance in the water, hard work to pull them, and then the resistance eventually causes them to topple head over heels... cartwheeling... ?? Just throwing ideas around here, trying to help?

Thanks Tony, The depth is only 3,5mm and the diameter is 30mm. I've got some little Bass poppers here that are that much. We'll only know when we test but point taken. I think the pic makes it look deeper.

Ah ok... from the photo, it looks like the cup is 3-4cm deep. It's all good then... Love the 'fish shape" body design!

Here's the little tool I thought up to mold the Lexan lip. Got to give it a concave shape. When the Lexan is warmed to the correct temperature it should deform just enough to take the shape under some pressure.

Just overdid the cooking. I should have suspended the Lexan in the oil but it sat on the floor of the pot.  It bubbled. Mistake. Next one will be perfect.
