Hello Fisher folks,

I have a Shimano exage surf 100, 10 ft spinning rod.
It currently has standard guides(fuji)
Guides are a bit old and i want to replace them.
Which double footed fuji guides should i use?

Currently the first guide near reel is a size 30.

KWAG 30Low to 20 to 16, 12, 10 and 2 x 8 with 8 tip

or KWAG 30Low 20 12 10 and 3 x 8 with 8 tip

Both work just fine but the 2nd option makes the tip more stable and stop faster after the cast

Should i use the same layout on the Exage 100M?
Should the new kwag guides be fitted in the exact position on
the rod of which the old original guides were?

Will depend on how much work you are prepared to do.
To space them differently you would need to strip and clean the entire blank as the old thread wraps will leave marks behind on the blank.

I prefer to leave the blank in its original state rather than stripping it.
its going to pair with a 20h multiplier..... the same size guides in kwags ?

If for multiplier yes will work as is.

Depending on what size leaders you will be casting, rather try drop a size or 2 on the original runners ie start 25-16-12-10 and use #8's all the way as runners.

Makes the rod much more responsive and quicker to recover after a cast.

Setup as is works but the #12 BNOG are to heavy for the blank action

Thanks Enigma,

So will use kwags on the layout you have given me

for the Exage 100M for MULTIPLIER

ie. 25-16-12-10 and use #8's all the way as runners.
