Probably a trip with the Freeport (NY) Tuna Club. 16/0 Kovalovsky Reel, Tycoon Royal Hickory rod and a necktie. Note the old manual glass cylinder gas (petrol) pump under his elbow.

Thanks guys, the photo hangs in my living room next to the rod and reel. The rig on the left is a first year (1937) Penn 12/0 on an unknown hickory rod, also passed down from Gramps.
