Hi Roland

I'm having one made here at the moment.

What size bag did you have made?

Mine is going to be 1.5m length x 70cm height x 30cm bottom width.

I opted not to have a drainage plug put in as its a potential area for leaks with rough handling.

Hi. The one I have is 1.3x70x30. I have the plug. Hope it doesn't give me hassles. If so will take it out and stick close. Tight lines and hope you fill the bag.;)

The measurements are on the pic...

It is made from 1/2" dense closed cell Foam. same as for flotation so if it goes overboard you wont lose your catch.
Should keep the catch cold long enough when I return home from the trip.

Marine vinyl, UV resistance, stain resistance, resistant to microbial attack by bacteria and fungus and are fire retardant.

;)

The lady who made this for me says that if there is a demand for these bags, she can definitely look at the price as she can order material in bulk.

They seem to work as we have seen on the program Pacific Warriors so cant see a problem here.

PM me if you are interested and I will send you her number.

Oh and I will post more pics when I get back from Santa Maria...:) full of fish.

::tight:

Like a dream Pete.

Used on the boat with ice and fish were kept fresh whole day. Just sprayed off with water after and clean ready for next days fishing.

Even used it as carrier bag for surf fishing when weather was bad and we didn't go out.

Used it to store fish on trip back to SA, and ice wasn't even melted when we got home.

Would definitely recommend it to anybody.

I managed to find a guy manufacturing them in the Durban area and have purchased and used my cooler already.
Here are the details for anyone else wanting one of these coolers.

Picture of Pelagic coolers

The sizes as advertised are of the top of the cooler and bottom. Top is always a little bigger so it doesnt fold in on itself. Its heavy duty, Double PVC, high density foam filled, inner is dark blue in colour and has a heavy duty zip.
