Hey Salty do u think this is passed the tidal pool infront of The Beach shop or Right of the traffic circle at the far end ? I know the end just passed the tidal pool is good fror some crays on whipline!:spite
JUDE to me this looks like the left of the tidal pool! i never tried for crays there but please tell me where and how coz i haven't eaten a cray in a while.
Hi guys, sorry about the delayd response. I caught the fish from the rocks to the right of Umdloti, right at the last parking bay if you go right at the circle.
Congrats on your feesh - nice to see they are still around.
Sorry guys but I tend to disagree about that being an Iggie.
Looks very much like a greenspot - See the white trailing edgeton the anal fin and the tailfin - this is one of the biggest ID characteristics of a greenspot also the iggie has a flatter forehead (Like it has run into the bricks). Flippen Nice greenspot at that. I am still open to correction but I still firmly believe it to be a Greenspot Kingfish
Sorry only reason I know this is my better half caught one of almost 13kgs at Kosi (Sa record only 5 I think)on he r first outing plugging with a spinning stick Pictures went for ID with ORI - they said impossible and we had to send it overseas to a Caranx expert came back with the response that it was indeed a Brassy (Greenspot) sadly we released it thinking it was a GT without taking all the measurements etc (just a quick pull on the scale).
Also not the slightly yellow fins (although this is not an id charateristic the GT is steel Grey.
