Feeder angling

Hi guys are there any of the match guys who are going to take part in the new feeder angling facet?

It would be really interesting to see the response of the guys, i recon it might become bigger than match(pole) fishing because of the affordability issues with normal match angling.

I am still in two minds on what to do. I really love the carp angling facet, but my fishing partner is going back to normal bank angling, so i need to either get a new partner or i must go over to another facet.

Hi chris, sorry mate I am totally out of it now not sure if I will get back into it again but will be more then willing to offer advice and advice.

Feeder fishing is basically know as match fishing in the UK, personally I have never fished with a pole before and dont think I would like to (to bulky) The other way is waggler fishing aka feeder fishing that I have been fishing with since day dot and has produced more carp then I can count.

My advice would be to take up feeder fishing for carp. Check out all my threads on float fishing and it should make your mind up. As far as a partner goes I can put you in contact with a guy who is very keen for float fishing, I started teaching him and then I quit the facet but I am sure he would like to carry on.

I tried to get the whole flaot fishing (feeder) thing going but not many anglers went for it as you can see with this thread.

Let me know how it goes.

Attached is a  pic of my bigest carp on float method to date

Nice fish Lunker! Thanks for the advice i would definately contact you if i decide to take up feeder angling.

The main problem i have now is that you need a fishing partner to participate in the carp angling facet. So i need to either find a partner for the carp facet, or i must take part in the individual angling facets eg. bank, match or feeder.

Chris to be quite honest I have been doing most of my fishing by myself, it becomes a problem when it is time to take a photo of the fish but thats the only down side.

You welcome to call me anytime for advice on the feeder side and the static side, did specimen fishing for quite a few years aswell.

I do feeder fishing from time to time but theres nothing better than watching your float rise or disappear when the carp takes your hook bait.

I am looking at organising a match social session in in the next 2 weeks. It will be mainly aimed at float fishing but the guys can do feeder as well. For all the guys that dont know anything about match fishing and want to learn they must join. It will be good fun.
