ESA Jetskifishing at Paindane

Hi

It was nice checking Mark and the guys from ESA doing fishing from the jetskis at Paindane. The plastic baits is really showing its value if you see the amount of fish taken.

I would not recommend the move that Mark did, by jumping of the ski with rod in hand to prevent fish come lose when it went under the ski. Luckily did he have his lifejacket on and could he get back to the ski swimming with the rod still in one hand. Not for our older Toppies we prefer staying dry. Can always catch another fish.

Tight lines

Hi Bigvan

I hope now the Jet Ski fishing sport will take off a bit better.  There are a lot of guys doing it but one talk about it.  I have a friend that loves jumping in to the water with the fish still on the other end of the rod.  For me I will vote for the staying dray part.  I have seen to many Johnnies around my ski in the past.

Hi Flyfish

I agree with you I prefer to be high and dry. The problem comes in that the fish that has been caught is already sending out stress signals to the whole area that it is available to be food. Now do you add your body to the food chain, no way Jose'. The thing is a shark may just mistakenly take a bite but that could be enough to be lethal. Where are you fishing over December?

Cheers

Hi

I just came back from a trip down at the south coast.  A total blow out  We could go out for 1 or 2 hours max then the wind and the surf just pushed us of the water.  We are going on the boat to moz from 14 to 18 Dec I am still looking for a spot on the north coast for a few days after that.  I will see if one of the hotels can help??
