Cracker for the braai

Saturday morning I woke up early and I was not in the best of shape. Had a bit of a raucous  Friday night, so I had to continue beyond that babelaas threshold. When CT14 phoned me at 5am, I could tell by his voice that he was far from fresh as well.

Anyways we hit our spot and start fishing. Lovely weather, no wind but the sea is too flat. No action for about a hour, until this something took me into a reef in a split second. Lovely feeling....He stood no chance against the 0.45mm awa shima line, I hauled him over rocks and reefs and the line was still smooth and supple. I used a 0.70mm leader.

Measured 70cm, 7.9kg according to the tables.

Not one person believed me when I tell them! But it's the truth I promise. I used a octopus leg, CT14 was my witness...

Bliksem! Octopus leg! A lot of guys swear by this bait especially on the East coast. I wonder if it will produce here in False Bay? Note to self:"Try and catch a sucker"

Lol what's so unbelievable? Who ever doesn't believe you obviously has caught nothing on occie leg

One of the most versatile baits out there!

Can catch almost anything on it
