Saturday night me and Boepsie made the call to fish a day shot close to Kidds Beach. On arriving at the spot we saw that the water was brown and that a big ground swell was running.
I was thinking raggie.
So out goes my first slide, a nice blacktail head. As I was about to put my rod in the spike I felt my line go slack. Well this little bugger picked me up.

After this it went dead as the low hit, well at least I got a nice tan. At 3 midday the water started to look good. So out I send a nice sandie fillet, as my slide hit the stopper my rod went down. I got the rag to the side in no time at all, but then it hit the lip and with the ground swell running it went straight into the backwash.
Dammit it turned out to be a nice gym session. Well the end result was a bag of 197cm/148.28kg.This is probably where I should have stopped. But the "used" sandie fillet seemed ready for round 2. Well I got teached a lesson in humility. A big grey picked me up and just headed for the south pole. It eventually cut me off 400m out. Ag well that fishing

Ja well, I reckon as soon as I left, him and duifie reeled up and went home. They are probably scared you know. Fishing with shimanos and finnors and all....probably a wise choice. Wouldn't want them breaking their equipment.

That shark of Willies was going one way straight to the water tower, I'm honestly not sure even with a lever drag and 0.8mm if you could stop that fish in 300m before he reefs you. This is the only thing I don't like about Palms, so many beeeg fish that have been hooked reef you before you can even turn them. Other than that it's a lekker place, close to home and produces quality fish and is safe.

Willie I left mine and your rodstands in the place for next time.
