Damn that's bus! Must have given you a helse fight with that setup and they taste so much better than carp :) Big ups to your mom too, please post the video.

Nice One, got a bit nervous for you when it lay flapping on the sand!!  I would love to go for Belman at some point, but not too sure where and how.

Can you briefly tell about trace length, bait and hook size used.  Also, how far from the edge did you cast and get a pickup?

Well done again!

Hi There Bud. The rig used is a small 2oz sinker with a small hook, I use 13kg fluoro carbon for the trace and let the hook be about 70cm away from the sinker. Fresh Sand Prawn, Wonder Worm, Moonshine worm is their best bait. I attached a pic of the trace I used. The Belman feed very shallow and I caught that one less than 10m away from the side.. Hope this helps a bit...

Lovely Donovan, thanks for the reply!  So it's time to invest in Flouro then...

Last question please:  Do you weave a few prawn on and make a cluster or do you hook one at a time, through the tail and try keep it live?

Thats the problem the guys make... Do not put tons of prawns on one hook and bundle it up, they pump the small prawns thats not even worth the effort keeping. Get the larger prawns and hook one at a time, you put the hook through the tail section towards the head and tie it with thin nylon just on the tail side so its presentation looks naturally...
