daar is groot vis in bronkies, jy moet hulle net soek.
the best place is by the two river inlets by the nature reserve (one one the right opposite the yatch club and one on the far far left) at baja the best place is just after the bend by bonamanzi.

At the river inlets there is less boating activity and a constant inflow of food and much less grass.

best fishing is in winter as the grass dies off and the boating activity is much less. if summer fishing best to fish at night and if fishing during the day make sure lines are pinned to the bottom by use of backleads.

Bronkies has big fish. But you also need to spend time at the water and get to know the place. If you have a boat or canoe and a fishfinder/depthfinder you can look for nice drop-offs or gravel beds which you can feed onto and drop you baits. The features don't need to be to far from the bank, as long as you keep quiet and keep lights to a minimum.

We used to catch a lot of fish there with one sultana on a hook wrapped in a 1-2-3 pap. (1 cake flour, 2 part2 maize meal, 3 part water. Cook in the microwave for about 8-10min)

jip they are there, and there is a decent amount off feture and drop offs. there is alot of natural food in the dam too so the fish grow nicely.

the boating activity is high though and this has a gr8 effect on getting your bait out. the water is almost never smooth to watch fish play/jumping or see in what areas they are in.

its best to fish the inlets and fish the reeds on the opp bank, also the river bed produces good fish.

when there were some fish deaths about three years ago there where plenty big carp that died (6kg-15kg) but there are still plenty big carp around.
