As with any braid, one does want any knots that can close as braid tends to cut itself. A thicker braided rope works well here, pull the centre out, put a nail in one end and burn it with a lighter pull the nail out and you have a funnel like opening to thread your kite line through, pull the kite line through with a needle for about 6 cm and push through hollow rope braid, cut off peice sticking out, quick burn to stop it fraying, then make two granny knots as in picture. The other end you make a Catspaw knot, which you loop over the knot on the kite attachment, pull tight en jy is vas. Easy to put on and take off and no knots that close.
