Anyone had much luck sliding with the XX 0.64? I have it mounted as the top shot on a Talica 25, wanted something a bit heavier than 0.55 to be able to take advantage of the reels drag but doesn't seem to be enough stretch in the line to be able to get a slide bait out without first pulling out the 10ounce grapnels (longboom) I've been using.

0.64mm does work for slide and it has the same stretch as the smaller diameters. It just takes a lot more pulling to stretch a thicker line.

Slow the sliding strokes down and the bait does go down to the bottom.

also look at Longer boom on the sinker ie 20cm and 2.4mm wires to grip.

You can also bend the last 1.5cm of the four wires up. That helps with the sinker sticking. Leave the sinker for 5min to help it to settle aswell
