[align=justify]Die oord is een van die meer veiligste plekke waar ek en my gesin al gaan kamp en visvang het. Daar is baie vir die kinders om te doen, daar was net baie sterk winde wat die visvang bietjie moeilik gemaak het. Ons was n groep van 4 hengelaars en kon so paar visse hok slaan:
1X Baber 10 kg, 1X Baber 3 kg 6 X King Carps 1.5 -2 kg 4 x Modder bekke 1kg 6x Geelvisse 800 g - 1 kg 3 x carp 1 kg

Ons het hoofsaaklik vroeg Sateroggend en Saterdag aande die visse gevang, Vrydag was daar te veel wind en ons het Sondag oggend vroeg opgepak met al die kinders wat eksamen skryf.

Ons het die volgende gebruik:

Plain Floatties met soet deeg agter

Yellow Activatir/Orange TAC/ Loti Almond S / Peach Almond S / Rose Carp Cream / Paint

Die oord vra R 210 per nag per Kamp staanplek met Krag punte en die plekke is teen die oewer gelee

Ons sal definitief die oord weer besoek want ek glo as die wind nie so gewaai het nie kon ons dieper gegooi het die die Groter vis gekry het.

I am not sure what the price is for the Charlets, but there are warm and cold swimming pools play park go carts and a Kiosk on the premises

Hi Shuraj

Chalets r R1130 for a 6 sleeper per weekend. They also got 8 sleepers dont know price. Im going this weeken hoping to have a bumper weekend like I did at aqua recently. Im just an occassional "pap-gooier" but felt like a pro at aqua as everyone there was asking what i was using etc. (lol)

Had a great weekend, expected abit more from chalets though, fishing wasnt the greatest though, caught a couple of small barbel and yellow that was about it. Guys next to us caught predominantly barbel biggest about 2,5-3kg(estimate) and a couple small yellows. The river was quite narrow where I fished but will move to a wider part next time. Our neighbours were kind enough to give us some earthworms which is all that basically worked. (i did not take any as i thought i could get there. They dont sell):fbash.

I spoke to the chap at the shop and he reckons that very few carp come out there. Another guy who was there since thursday caught several small yellow and also mainly barbel. (Note to self take earthworms on any trip).

Tried various floaties, backings, mielies, dips but no luck in the carp dept.

Sterkfontein and Aqua lined up for next outings.

Van Pretoria af is dit 130 km, dan het ek N! gery en weg gedraai op die N3 dan ry jy tot by die laaste Heidelberg afrit (Balfour Standerton afrit) links, dan gaan jy so 18 km tot jy Fortuna stasie afrit kry link s en dan omtrent 5 km tot by die oord.

Van Boksburg af kan jy Snake Road reguit aanhou tot waar hy by Heidelberg t aansluit links op N3 gaan vir omtrent 6 km voor jy afrit Standerton Balfour kry.

Kan verder as 50 km vir jou wees nie.

New Report Fortuna (Date fished: 13 Dec 2015)

Resort:

Toilets where extremely clean.
More tree cover required, very few spots have enough shade for a one man tent.
Braai's are available at certain spots enough i recon, just bring your own grid.
Pool and Put-Put where in good condition.
Fees where R60 a adult and R50 for kids under 12

Fishing:

1st fish was a very clean cat (+- 2.2Kg) bait was Perdeby Marshmallow
-- Changed bait after that--
2nd fish common carp (1.5 Kg) bait plain mielie, bom dip was aniseed
3rd fish common carp (1.8 Kg) bait plain mielie, bom dip was aniseed
4th fish was a grass carp (1.2) bait orange scented deegie bom dip was aniseed
5th fish common carp (2.8Kg) bait plain mielie, bom dip was aniseed
6th fish common carp (4.1Kg)bait plain mielie, bom dip was aniseed

Overall, good 6 hours of fishing 6 fish caught and released. I am sure their are bigger ones there, our neighbours for the day caught only one fish but it was the biggest for the day, easy over 6Kg.
