i have been busy with mostly work and the babies, thus not having the free time which was previously afforded to me.
some fish caught in the last couple of months... the coming year will hopefully free up time as the little ones grow.
so here goes...
its been a tough year with most of the sessions coming in the evening when i somehow manage a bit of free time.
some highlights for 2013:
all over the peninsula from strandfontein to gordons bay and some beeg fish and fights lasting 4.0hrs until heartbreak... snap in the dark and it was over. then one evening i hooked what was believed to be a black short tail stingray and managed to hold the fish for 4.5hrs of which more than half the time the fished pulled me...
we fished ganzekraal whee we manged a few cob and cow shark and on one occasion had a smash all to ourselves, we got about 5 landed... in between broken rods and broken gaffs.
another rewarding experience was hooking into a solid diamond at 3 minutes before lines up in a comp, after loosing a similar fish cut off by a rubber duck.
collectively between my partner and i we tagged about 50+ fish for the year
well its been great, we will fish again.
