    Folding H/L frame

Maybe upload a little sketch of what you propose, then it will be easier to give advice. But you could always just make a hinge with a cross-brace and bolts with wing nuts. Easy enough to fasten or loosen

Looking for fishing buddies in Overberg (Arniston, Struis, Agulhas)

I agree with DJP, a fishing club is by far the best way to get connected. And you will learn a lot

Loading a Saragossa 25000 for sliding

I have tried to slide with braid and it was an epic fail. Maybe..............if you have a lot of elevation you would be able to slide with braid. My advise, just cast the bait. One get enough extra distance with braid anyway and you do not sit with all the disadvantages associated with sliding

    Port Alfred Fishing

Dear Sean. I do not know the Port Alfred area that well, but I fish Hamburg and Begha quite often. We are slowly but surely running out of summer months, but April is still good for Raggies Do yourself a big favour. Go to your closest petshop and buy yourself a calibrated thermometer. If you...

    Edible fishing rod?

You can use your pocket knife to tighten screws..................but is it the best tool for the job? I suppose it all depends if you already have the rod, and how often you fish.

Need a reel for my grand son's BlueFish Special (3-5oz) 13ft.

DJP is correct. If you only use it once a year during your sea holiday..........you can get away with a cheaper reel. (Just have it serviced after the holiday.) The moment you start fishing once a month or more, thats where a more expensive reel starts paying off Regards

Need a reel for my grand son's BlueFish Special (3-5oz) 13ft.

I would just bite the bullet and buy the spheros 6k or even the 8k It is very well sealed (Also go and read Alan Hawk's review on the new Spheros) I had a BG, got it wet once and it started making noises I had it serviced, sold it, and bought a spheros. I do believe the spheros is a better...

    Edible fishing rod?

7oz is getting a bit heavy. 4-5oz is perfect for Galjoen/Bronze bream/Blacktail 6oz is perfect for kob/sandies That is why I'm saying a 6oz is more versatile 7oz you start fishing for your smaller raggies and ineds You really do not want to use a 7oz for galjoen and stuff

    Edible fishing rod?

Hi Fish slayer. Maybe if you are slightly more specific as to what edibles you would like to target you will get a better response. Personally I wouldnt go heavier that 6 ounces for a general purpose edible rod Also do not be scared to go for a 10 000 reel

Daiwa Saltist MQ 6000D-H vs Shimano Saragosa SW 6000HG

Then by the same token, also do yourself a favor and go and read Alan Hawk's review on the new Spheros. Which is exactly the same as the Gosa, except that the Gosa has a dual drag, and the Speros only has a top stack drag. You want to pare it with a 12ft rod, so I would imagine your're planning...

RASSPL AFRICA: Will you stand up to your promises???

I am sad to say but I used to love fishing RASSPL, but have stopped participating about 2 years ago. We have often asked for the finances to be made available to its members (which is common practice with any other sports club) Unfortunately this fell on death ears, and we are still uncertain...
