Removed transom from the inside. Sanded down to original casting fibre. Still solid. Lots and lots of sanding and grinding to do. Taking a small break for a day or two. Will post progress when i start again.
The hull was still covered / painted with gelcoat which kept the fibre intact. Stringers and bulkheads need to be replaced though. I will also redo the hull as well.
Standing in the open for 15 years....even the rims and bearings were rusted solid. First had to remove the drums (could unskrew the wheel nuts), get new bearings, new rims and decent 2nd hand tyres just to remove her from here and get her home.
Hi folks
I would love to find owners of old vintage Viking Monohull Ski-boats. Are there still any around?
I bought an ugly old lady and rescued her from the bushes where she was left for the past 15 years. No cover...nothing. I think she was on her way to become a pot for plants.
As i am olso...
Hi there
Any life still on this platform?
I bought a hull. Was standing in bushes for about 10 to 15 years.
Would like to know what kind of hull this is. Looks a lot like some of the boats on this forum.
Would love to completely rebuild and bring her back to life and water.
I would like to share...
Yeah, this is great. Also did mine online in December and got mine immediately as well. Printed it.
However, i would also like to know if the electronic version on my cell will be acceptable all over the country?
A few weeks ago i was trying my luck at Winkelspruit for an hour or two from the beach. To my surprise and shock and just as it was getting dark a drone came flying over me from behind me from the top of the dunes carrying big baits into the see for about a km.
So. so sad.
Thanks for the above...
