Yman,
everywhere boet (not that I go).
best places are receive (but they don't allow ANY DIVING EQUIPMENT as far as I know),
and then also on the wildside, especially close to Blougat (just on the outside) and the Anchor (around the big rock).

Yman,

Flat rocks, Cape Recife, Noordhoek, Schoenies and Beachview are all good shore dive areas.

From a boat, thunderbolt, riy banks and the islands are all good areas.

Cape receife is still the old faithful, lots to see and shoot. Lots of caves and a couple of shallow wrecks to spice things up.

for a shore dive flat rocks is probaly best, easy to get in and out. there are nice caves there and can get anything, big cracker, baardman(plenty), bronzebream and grunter, you can dive there on pretty poor vis too

Also not bad around McArthurs up to old pier. Got a nice grunter at the pier and a 5kg Leery at McArthurs in one weekend. Also seen a huge Baardman there.

You dive alone? I'm looking for a dive partner. Always a bit limiting on your own.

Going to St Francis this weekend, can't wait.

Hi guys

I'm also keen to dive, havent been out lately but keen to get things started. If the westerly keeps on pumping we can expect decent viz for the coming wknd. Let me know if someone is up to it for a flatrock session this coming weekend. Went to fish of the rocks (Receife)this wknd and discovered quite a prolific hole producing a kob,shad,4 pens-en-derms and a cracker!! Saw some spearos there as well and was safe. So the rumours circulating as of late about the danger at receife were cleared up, lots of guys in the area at 05:00am.

Not looking god for THIS weekend, 2 big eastery days this week, then variable with rain for the weekend. Might get a dive on the wildside.

I'm off to ST Francis this weekend, might be less affected by the eastery.

Checkout Windguru for wind, swell direction etc

Hi Pete

I dive in mud and good water - have been to my spots and collected the odd decent fish.  Wildside is better for me.  Rough waters and tough entry / exits is how it is.  Will consider Seaview as an option tomorrow (Sunday 5th April) seeing as ironman closes pretty much all roads to the sea.

My phone was stolen out of my car on friday at Pollock beach. I was windsurfing and saw the bastards, but too late out the water. So Zane, I've lost ya number again mate.

Boo, that weekend I had terrible Bronchitis and did'nt dive. I fished rock and surf as did others with no result. Where is Grannies pool? Where eles in ST Francis for a good shore dive?
