fish the bays as you drive in you will drive along the side of the dam you will see the bays on your left and there will be small bridges you drive over try all those bays...

Scuba, the dam on the map looks more like Renosterkop Dam just down the road from Rust de Winter.

But you are spot-on, if you fish all the bays and points you should get some fish. Also, fish right on the launch ramp if there aren't too many boats.

2.6kg's on topwater. 1st fish of that trip! I would always throw topwater at RdW, early morning and after 3:30 in the afternoon. And if it's cloudy- THE WHOLE DAY! For some reason the fish there just can't leave a tiny torpedo alone...mine is FULL of little teeth marks!

You could always go to Renosterkop... I've caught bass there. Just take a guard, and guns! And you will probably still get robbed!

But seriously, I've heard of BIG fish coming out of that dam. It has some awesome structure, plenty baitfish as well.

I will be there this sat, sunday and monday, mainly for carp but a mate of mine owns a fishing ski company so we are taking a couple along and will do some morning and afternoon sessions for bass... will post results next tuesday

during the spawn on weekends you can't get into the hot spots as there are too many guys fishing from the side...

during the spawn the banks are better but if you can get in the spots with a boat then definately a boat is better...
