I have never been so my statement might be rubbish :? Sounds like the general consensus are that Bronkies does not hold any big fish. I was actually speaking to a big bass fisherman mate of mine this morning, who grew up there, and even he said Bronkies is a waste... Why not hop over to Witbank dam?

I was at Bronkies from 20th September to 24th September , I tried everything from conventional carp fishing , species fishing and Bass ,from the side ,and from my boat, and nothing I also tried all baits and flavours , very unsuccessful fishing 4 days.

sorry for onely coming back now but I can truly say that the days of catching some bass and of them some at the 2kg mark is GONE I have tried everything and everyware that I knew held some bass in the past and nothing :( even got waterdamage on my cell now "will teach me to be over eager to get into the water phone in pocket"

but my story does have a happy ending I went on the fryday tried until 20:00 and nothing tried again Saturday from 4:30am to 12:00 had lunch at 15:00 out again till 19:30 and nothing (NO SPAWNING OR PRE SPAWNNG BASS NOT EVEN A BITE)

Sunday morning went to a private dam near witbank a little honey hole that I have'nt visited in years got there after having to engage 4x4 3 times. got there and within the first 5 min I pulled out my first one weighing in at just over 1kg (wich was also the smallest for the day ) in total I caught 11 bass ranging from 1kg to 2.6 kg the winner lure was black baby fluke weightless retrieved in twitches after it hit the bottom.

ill be going there for the next few weekends guaranteed.

thank you all for your coments.;)::hapmad
