Hi Alec

St Lucia is bustling with activity.  Unfortunately, there's more activity from fishermen and holiday makers than fish at this stage.  The Grunter seems to have quietened down recently.  I fished on the beach area just to the left of the mouth on Thursday night and the better part of Friday morning.  Lots of juvenile Shad in the morning with the odd Grunter (1kg to 1.5kg) in between.  Be prepared to untangle your trace from the scores of visiting anglers.  Not going back there for a while!

Going to see what’s happening at Cape Vidal in the morning.

Cheers

"Any info will help...."

OK, stay well away, for your own peace of mind. The reason the Grunter have gone off the bite, 'cos there are none left to bite! :X Big or small, they take them all.... Minimum size??? What a joke!?

Then expect a 7ounce grapnel flyn at one hell of a velocity towards ure boat.....

Spot on Reefman, its pure fact that "minimum size" simply does not apply. Iv been crapped out by a few guys (even locals) like y the hell you throwing back that grunter? It cud have made size? but please, anyone...... what justice does a grunter between 400 - 450 do? Technically speaking...... one has pretty much all of what? say 200mm of flesh?

Yep i know, its in no intention to gun anyone down...... but its just my personal preference. Id rather put back n try for a bigger one..... and if you dont catch a bigger one sumone may ask...... So what, heck, its better than work and i had fun catching the others. :dude:

With due respect to the Parks Board in StLucia they are about as effective as being savaged by sheep. The less they can do the better they like it. They remain hidden while Rome burns, yet this is just me being a pessimist. I'll post back on their presence after this weekend.
