CALLING ON ALL GARDEN ROUTE ANGLERS! INVITATION to participate on RESEARCH about trophy fish in the Garden Route This is an open invitation to participate in research on trophy fish, by completing an online survey. The survey is for any saltwater angler who has fished or is still fishing in the Southern Cape/Garden Route region. You need not be resident in the region, as long as you have done angling from the shore or in estuaries in the area from Gouritz River to Nature’s Valley at some stage of your life. Follow this link to participate: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1609429/Garden-Route-Trophy-Fish-2

To All Sealine Garden Route Anglers. Please fill out this survey. I was one of the students that collected the data for the project. I would greatly appreciate it if you took 5min of your time to fill out the survey. Its of great importance to fishing in the Garden Route. Thank You very much.

Reply to respondent regarding old angling photos: Thank you for completing the survey, I appreciate and note your comment regarding possible sensitivities of posting the angler photos (although no identities are given). The fact that these pictures were published in a newspaper I believe does place them in the public domain, and given the context (taken over the last 30 years) should highlight possible changes in ethics or acceptable angling behaviour as depicted. They were chosen to show a wide range of scenarios to better understand angler motivation. Thanks again for your input. Last edited on Tue Apr 22nd, 2014 09:14 am by realfish |

I have over 60 useable responses now - some not fully completed. Will leave the survey open for a little while longer. Thanks to those who have participated. Once the study is complete I will post a summary of the findings
