I am heading for three years by the end of August. My meathod worked...........Always remember this the Doc never gave us pills to start smoking, so y get a whole bunch of them to stop.

I promise u will feel better, spend more on fishing tackle. Take 30 rand a day on the pack of smokes save it. Three years later excess of 32000 rand spent on other stuff like fishing tackle and kids.

Great to hear all the other stories of motivation.

Get on board gents. U will enjoy.

Lekker Angus

I found the first 3 days the most difficult.

Been 6 years now. Still get the occasional feeling of "man a smoke would be great now" but these tend to dispensary as soon as they come.

Hold in there it gets allot better.

Stopped for like 6 years, started again on the 3rd of Feb 2015, right on the spot car accident, smoked my brother in law's Marlboro packet finito...If you think it's easy giving up ciggies, try giving up weed!

To anyone considering Champix as a way to quit smoking beware! Especially if you have a history of depression/ anxiety.

Yes, The Toppie also got rid of that suffocating stuff... It is 17 Months now smober and never want to smoke again... Launching with the Kayak became much easier and paddling against the wind without the huffing and puffing is very nice....

I stopped after 38 years @ 60 per day and can really say I think I was very stupid to ever started..But we we are big men at 19 in the army back in 1977 and must smoke because we were fighting a war at that stage..

I used Champix and found it to be very helpful although became very nauseous after 12 weeks but was at the end of my course.

I also supplemented Herbally just to get the old brain functional again and the dopamine production on the go.

(We all know that Nicotine hijacked these receptors and make us belief that it is only a cigarette that can make us cope)

The advantages for us over 55 is huge and our bodys react very well...

I stopped because I had a vision of myself loading an oxygen bottle in my hatch before launch...Terrible !!!

;);)
