Howsit guys been thinking for a while now what would be the best way to swim a bait with circle hooks.

What would be the best position to place the circles and how would you attach them?

I was thinking double hook trace  first circle attached to dorsal fin with cable tie hanging free then second circle near anal fin attached with a samller j hook (circle and j hook attached back to back) and cable tei around tail to keep cable in place.

Any suggestions?

I am sure it depends on what you are using as a swimbait!

I made up a swim bait trace of one big circle and about 2m 200lb steel. The thought was to pin a small ray or smooth hound near the anal fin.

To be honest it has been in my bag for weeks, just have not managed to find the right bait

It could be anything really will only use a double on the larger baits. Will snell the second circle on the same cable as the first which will decrease I think the chances of the second hook snagging or hooking the fish in the body.
