Hi, I am on a fishing holiday to Hole in the wall from 21 to 25 January. Want to target sharks, which is the best spots and do i need a driving permit for the area. What advice and species can we target. Regards Emmanuel

Morning Emmanuel. We have just been there over the new year. Must say, the fishing was very bad. The water was a tad too cold. I would suggest the high point off Mpuzi. You would need a driving permit to get there Get a gillie in the area and find out whats happening in the area. Hope it helps Piet

Enigma posted an attachment in the saltwater section about the driving permits. Good shark points are Hlongwane, mapuzi, queens is also good and mbolombo.

Like Vishan said. All those places are good. However. No driving allowed at Hlongwane, Vehicle must be park at nearby homestead. Mbolombo, no driving allowed in the mined area , park the car before and walk.

That Walk from wherever , to Mhlongwane would Seem to then have now become a M$%%^rse long one ?? I would target Maphuzi , and Mbolompo , if Mhlongwane isn't producing .. Hole In the Wall is "iffy" fishing at it's best . It's either On , or it's not ..... Only problem is : from my house to Hole in the wall isn't exactly 500m , so ...ja - unless I get a chopper so i can Fly there as the fish come on the bite- Nee wat ...... daai muur sien nie weer My gat nie ...
