Hi Julle,

Dag twee was darem baie beter. Snaakse tendense?

Congrats some nice fish Alex, we fished at the Vaal river over new years and day old chickens got the most pulls . The carp head only got hit once on the weekend but the hooks didnt set.

Thank you Antjar,

Do you fish the Vaal River a lot, as we are looking for another venue that might hold some monster barbel? Must not be more then about two hours drive from the East Rand...

Any suggestions will be very welcome.

We fish it a lot as we have a house there, unfortunatley most of the public places arent great for bank fishing by the sounds of things. Im sure a few other members in the barbel section can help you out. If you are keen to try other waters PM Skuimkop about Roodeplaat or Diesel about the Vaal Dam as they live near these waters
