Not too good there. Very small area to fish and very busy venue for bass and kurper. Hippos dont make it easy as they live next to camp and do pick up your lines... Also no fishing allowed at night.
Why dont you try klipkoppie instead?

I tried there once. Lot of extra work seeing that you cannot fish at night.

And do watch out for the hippos around! Camps are secure but small and you can not fish from there.

Didnt catch any carp.

U can work around some of the issues of Ohrigstad - yes watch the hippos but there are some good fish in there.....

Have to take the gamble I suppose

Those hippos are a problem, it's no joke there. Nearly got killed by them the last time I fished there, please be careful when fishing there, don't take chances.

Renrew is right, those hippos has become a bit too aggressive of late. Problem is as well that they like to stay next to the shallows next to the campsite. The dam is extremely deep so the hippos only have a couple of places where they can laze around...Last time we were there they swam about 6 times over our lines.
