parents can fish for many years to come. They don't have to collect bait and don't have to carry anything. All they have to do is fish.

My father caught his last Mussel-cracker when he was 80. Since then he only went fishing with us on the beach while we bait up for him and cast. At 85 he caught his last stumpnose and cob.

Lately he enjoys our catches and off-course eating the fish. He is 88 now.

He keeps us going with all his stories when he used to catch the big ones. He still holds the record in the family for the most and biggest Mussel-cracker.

Keep going

Pieter, this is a very nice thread, I will never be able to post a " father and son" pic, I have 2 daughters, 2 and 4 years, they are absolutely obsessed with my fishing gear and eating fish, my 4 year old daughter only eats fish! My 2 year old daughter every once in a while dissapears for a few minutes and everytime we find her, she has gone into my workshop to test out her favourite rod! She is completely in love with rod, and I must say, her grip looks promising for the future...I thought i would share this pic.....
