This was our 1st time going for sharks and we were very unsure about where and how, but thanks to a lot of reading on Sealine and feedback from Trophy we decided on J-bay for our new adventure. Thanks Trophy for also hooking us up with Brad, he showed us the nice spots and gave us a one day crash course on the basics. He also helped to land my cousins first big one (120.11kg Raggie) Thanks Brad for a very nice day. Should anyone whish to get a hold of Brad, thy can pm me, it was definitely worthwhile for us. Here’s some of our happy moments….

We got these two pick-ups at exactly the same time, so you can only imagine 2 rookies running around in the dark. Mine was a 187kg and his a 207kg both females.

The last day we got a 7/2 hiding at the “gab” and only landed a small black tip
and 1 sand shark. One of the monsters broke the line after running for more than 500m.

Hi Enigma, the 2 big ones we landed on 23 April, just before midnight. After fishing the whole day at platform and not really finding what we were looking for, we decided to make a stop at paradise beach.. it was worth it.
Both of them ran at exactly the same time, we first ran to the one rod only to realize that the other one was also screaming. I thought that the lines were over each other but the big one of my cous decided to make a run down the beach, it was only then that I realized I an in my first big fight…it was amazing.

Do you have a good knot for tying braid together, my mono was not tight enough on my real and it cut into my backing so the braid is damaged at 2 places….school fees
