well done on ur catches man, awesome. I also try and do what I can to make sure the fish is alive and well afterwards and im glad to see that you are doing the same. Enjoy your fishing and remember that no one who actually goes out and catches fish can tell you that fish safety is the end all be all in their lives, if this is true they wont be catching them in the first place! Think about it. Again well done on an awesome session!

My PB was also caught in the Vaal, bit down the river from you at Kommando Drift.

Also what are your thoughts on Canary Kurpers being minced alive on the bank for curry fishcakes?

As opposed to returning them to fight another day?

And don't scoff...I personally saw some spook and diesel fish+chip shop owners do this at Harties!

Congrats. Nice fish. My PB was caught without a landing net and not kept in a keep net.
Back then I had to basically jump in front of the fish and catch it in the shallow water.
Now I'm much wiser.
