shark rod grips

howzit guys, been frustrated with my grip on my bullshark rod, it has velcro for grip and after holding the rod for quite sum time or fighting a shark for a while i start getting blisters on my hands, iv noticed FLUKE has a really nice grip on his rod, its foam that has twirled with heat shrink over it which makes it even more grippy, so im pretty sure thats going to help me when im at league when the big fish are on the bite. the grooves i rate let you hold your rod not as tight as the grooves catch your fingers rather than holding the rod tightly so that it doesnt slip, i asked Bilimoria if they are able to do it but they are not able to. any tips on how it can be done? and iv got 2 rods with heat shrink on its starting to get slippery, any tips on how to make alittle more grippy and how can i look after the heat shrink grip?

I built those grips on Flukes rods, they can't be bought, have to be made.

Got them on my Shark Extreme as well. I like the shrink only but I don't get blisters but Callouses which at some stage on a trip tear off

My /7 & assasin will need an upgrade to that sometime soon. That grip you built me is definately the best grip I've ever used and I've used just about everything available.

I also like this grip, how much will it cost? I have a base section of a technium heavy that needs to be done up lekker.

I've actually decided not to get this fancy grip, a velcro and a eva grip has never given me any hassles, so why change it? I'll rather spend the Rxxx that it will cost on tackle or bait, something that will actually help you to hook and land a fish rather than spending cash on extra comfort.

Sorry the pics aren't great but the ridges are a bit higher than they look in the pics and the ridges are soft while the recess in the spiral is hard. It really is a great concept.

I'll try get better pics in the daylight as the shadows in the pic from the flash are hiding the contours.
