What type of boat is this

Ship,

I will bet my left ping pong ball MUSTANG SALLY is a 660DV Ace Craft hull...I just know those lines too well

They built a cuddie cabin version for a while

It looks beautiful and seaworthy with nice layout for serious fishing, but also a good fun, solid all rounder.

Nice place to rest and store stuff downstairs

I REALLY like that boat!

PS: I do not recognise the buildings in the background...where were the pics taken

not sure where the pics are taken thika, but the boat's on gumtree in durbs area. it ain't PE for sure, doubt EL, not CT... i agree, looks like a very nice outfit. you are more of an Ace man than me, just thought the bow (on the keel line) looks a bit more convex than an Ace?? but if not an Ace, then what??

Eish this is a tester. Its not a SA built boat , It has many similarities to the Cuddy ACE , but my money is on :

Imported 80's American Wellcraft.

Hi Echo!!!!

Thanks for clearing that up

All I can say, you could have fooled me!

That boat side on is the spitting image of the 660DV Ace Craft hull

(BTW Ship, the 660DV does not have the "rock" in the bow the 660 Semi Vee and other Ace Crafts share)

Glastron boats are still imported into RSA by Leisure Boating

That 216 seems to have some sort of cult following in the states

See http://www.classicglastron.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3784

Mustang Sally has outmounts by the look of it

Once again, NICE boat!

Just keep the cuddy doorhatches sealed in rough water...don't want to flood downstairs when green water gushes through the two walkways

660 DV side on:

Very same lines as the ACE , but Mustang Sally I am convinced is a late 70's 21,6 Glastron Sea Fury now.

Fantastic, guys!

Sealine motto should be "it's not what you know, it's who you know".

Echo, can you recall whether your mate had any complaints or compliments about the sea keeping / handling of this machine?

I don't think he used it offshore much, mostly in the bay. The boat was parked off for a long while and he tried to sell it, don't know if he did. Had 90's on and apparently were getting expensive to run.

Close up it looks VERY solid, well built and I don't doubt its seakeeping abilities, but cannot comment on its performance on our horrible East Coast short chop.
