Welcome Eholder!

Tell us more about yourself man!

@ Peter,

Afraid they not gonna give it to you :(

This from their documentation:

THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES IN SOUTH AFRICA

THE PROCESS

1. WHAT IS THE AIM OF A BEACH ACCESS PERMIT?

To enable persons with a permanent, severe MOBILITY impairment to access beach areas in order to join their families on the beach.

It needs to be noted that the beach permits were not approved to
enable sportsmen (eg anglers) to reach fishing spots. Anglers
can apply for access to fishing spots via their angling clubs.

2. WHO QUALIFIES?

No formal qualifying criteria were gazetted, as the spirit of the agree-
ment between NCPPDSA and the Department of Environmental Services and Tourism (DEAT) embraces guidelines focusing on
severe and permanent MOBILITY impairment. In most cases this means that the applicant will use an assistive device like
a wheelchair or double crutches to move along.

YOU WILL NOT QUALIFY IF:
* you are blind, deaf, suffer from medical conditions such as
emphysema or other lung afflictions, back or leg problems that
make walking difficult, general health or ageing problems like
arthritis, etc. Applicants suffering from these
conditions CAN STILL WALK- PARALYZED PEOPLE OR PEOPLE
IN WHEELCHAIRS CANNOT WALK AT ALL

It needs to be noted that beach permits are not issued to people who
qualify as “disabled” according the to World Health Organization de-
finition - they are issued to people who are unable to walk on sand,
as a result of a permanent, severe mobility impairment.

Kaspaas 1955

Sorry, catch & release was ongehoord daai dae. he he

Ha ha ha... coming from an "ou toppie" only 4 years yours younger than me!

I read some comments about Military Service. Here I am somewhere unmentionable while doing service somewhere unmentionable, posing for a pic for the folks back home. We had a day pass and one of the guys had an old VW Beetle. We drove to his parent's farm about 400 km South of where we were stationed in Namibia. This was taken during one of the "pit stops". We consumed copious amounts of beer and some of us had to stop for a whee every once and a while....

Hi all.

This is the latest update on Kaspaas:

Update 7 Mei : Dirk/Kaspaas/Pappa Smurf : Goeie vordering sover vandag.

Thank you, Lord.

So there we have it - one step at a time, but progress is being made. Roll on the day that Dirk a.k.a. Kaspaas a.k.a. Pappa Smurf comes home from the hospital.

Ek wag geduldig Kaspaas :)

Dink ons moet n paar van die ander ou toppies ook saamnooi en n ekstra paar kruike uitruk as jy weer meer op die been is!

Sterkte van ons almal!

Morning all. The latest update from, I am sure, an angry wifey.

Please, guys and gals, we need to continue to hold Dirk and his family up in prayer. ^^..

Have a blessed day, all, stay safe and take care.

Hi all - how quickly things change - latest update on Dirk

Code Jesus bly in beheer!

Our God is an AWESOME GOD. Thank you for your prayers but don't let them stop just yet. Thank you all and thank you, Lord.
