Hi Guys,
If any of you are perhaps intending to, please avoid buying pumped bait from those car guards at sunrise circle. They are poachers that are raping that coastline of between 40 - 50 bloodworm each, every low tide. That is way over any limits, and buying from them just keeps them doing this. You'll see them with 2 coke bottles, on either side of them, and they're both full of bait.
It wont be long and there will be zero bait left there, and the fish that come to feed on them will disappear too. The MCM officers are dishing out fines there now too, so if you are caught buying from them, you'll get nailed harder than they do.
You are allowd to pump that stretch of beach from Muizenberg down to Sonwabi, provided you have a permit. Rather get yourself a pump and pump your limit of 5, which I find is usually more than enough.
You'll find that if you just work a patch of sand in the surf, you'll have your 5 in no time. Dont waste your time looking for the worm holes, only to pump out just the tail.
Good luck and good conservation.
