I would suggest the Shimano Ultegra 5000 or 5500.

It would be well balanced for those ugly Rods , it is like a winch.

The Opus Bull has a very well documented Bail Arm Problem, Im not sure whether it has been fixed with the Plus.

IMO for the same money I would rather get the BG 60 - tried and tested and a proven workhorse with very little issues.,...

I had a look at the BG series but the prices I can find are about R200-300 more than the Opus Plus.

I have faith in Daiwa so I reckon it'll be a good reel the BG60. I'm not fussed about saltwater angling as I rarely go down to the coast.
