Vir n begin is die Aerlex xs-a of beastmaster xs-a/xt-a goed.

As dit die 9ft ugly stik is sal 'n 8000 of 5000 lekker werk.

If you have a pretty big budget why don't you consider a Stella or Saltiga, if these reels can stop monster GTs and Tuna then they'll do the job for some serious cats.

I don't think you can justify the purchase of a stella for barbel I would rather look at the sustain or stradic if you want to go for a top class reel or penn sargus.

My top budget is reserved for speci angling so I'm looking for something that won't break the bank but will still be reliable.

I did have a look at the Penn Sargus and it's definitely one of the reels I'm considering.

I went and had a look at a bunch of reels and because I'm not in a position to get top of the line reels the Penn Fierce 5000 looks like a good option.

Hi HennieB

If you can find them a PENN powerspin is a great reel, but for line capacity you would have to spool it with braid. I have the 6000 and the 7500. Used mainly for decent kob in rivers they serve very well on mr whiskers

Ive got a 5000 stradic FG on 9ftxxh and a 4000 FI on the 8ft6 xh

http://www.shimanofish.com.au/publish/content/global_fish/en/au/index/products/reels/saltwater_spinning/stradic_fj.html

Another option that I would suggest is a 6000 shimano spheros
