I'm speaking, or should I rather say typing under correction. I recall something like 170m plus. He does however have a "massive" advantage.

(Sorry Henning. Just could not resist)

I also don't have a problem casting, but every cast ends in an overwind. Luckily i have become a bit more competent in getting rid of an overwind. If someone can show me how to prevent getting overwinds i would appreciate it.

Try tightening the spool tension cap untill you gain more confidence.

I also had this problem when I tried to really give it a go. Tightening the break is one way but not ideal as it limits the cast a bit. The real answer is to install a MAG-IT cast control system. Pm Old Salt (Jonathan) or Cuban Cigar (Wilhelm) in this regard. They both install it but I think Wilhelm is the one that imports it.

I had it done and I can absolutely recommend it. My casting distance has increased because I am no longer breaking the spool with my thumb when casting and I simply do not get over-winds anymore.
