Island Shores (old UJ grounds)

Hi Guys,  I am planing on going to Island shores this coming weekend.  can anyone please tell me more about the spot as well as advise where the best spot is, best bait and fishing depth?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks CDT

Hi there, I' ve been there a few times - not a bad venue at all - very productive.
I usually fish on the far left side of island shores , far left of the reception area on entry - I prefer as it is more quite.

Fishing wise, water is productive lots of grass carp, yellows, common carp and muddies but fish are usually very small if your distance is limited to less than 80 meters, the bigger fish 2 kg + are out a lot further - a canoe would be a good option.

Flavours that work - caramel extreme, banjo, energy peach. . baits- flouroscene mielie bomb, mielie floaties and swd for carp and grass carp - muddies earthworms .
